[Update: Cadence of Hyrule’s Nintendo Store profile metadata has since been updated from May 30 to June 20. It’s unclear if this is in reaction to speculation about the game’s release date or more accurately reflects when the rhythm game is planned to release.]
WhileThe Legend of Zeldafans look forward to E3 2019, hoping for a deeper look atNintendo Switch exclusiveLink’s Awakening, anotherZeldatitle may arrive before the convention.Cadence of Hyrule, a cross-over game mixingZeldaandCrypt of the Necrodancer, could have just had its release date leaked and it’s nearer than expected. Appearing as part of the source code within Nintendo of America’s own website is the listed release date of May 30.
Prior to today,Cadence of Hyrulewas listed under a May 31 placeholder release date on Nintendo of America’s official storefront listing for the game. However, in the past week, the metadata for the profile has slowly been populated with new information, but the metadata forCadence of Hyrule’s release date was only just updated.
Should the release date leak prove accurate, which given the source and context of the leak seems reasonable, it will come as quite a surprise.Cadence of Hyrulewas announced only two months ago. At the time,Cadence of Hyrule’s release window was a broad “2019,” but an imminent release would certainly provide a bit more excitement forNintendo leading into E3 2019.
