Microsoft interviewed game developer Tim Schafer yesterday on Xbox’s news of the week, and revealed that a trio of remastered LucasArts games would be headed to the service. The remasters includeDay of the Tentacle,Full Throttle,andGrim Fandango.Schafer worked on each title during his tenure at LucasArts, and he developed Double Fine’sBrutal Legend,which is also headed to Game Pass this month.

The Game Pass release ofthese classic adventure games were announced earlier this year, though no release date was given at the time. The titles, hailing from LucasArt’s golden age of point-and-click adventure games, are highly-regarded titles in their genre. It will be interesting to see how the games are received by modern audiences, as point-and-click adventures have become rare. In their heyday, the games were praised for humorous writing and surreal circumstances.
