Xbox Game Passadds a new day-one RPG to round out the month of March, a title called Infinite Guitars developed by Nikko Nikko and publisher Humble Games. The general premise is that players must fight off war machines with guitar solos, set to anime-style art and an original soundtrack, to save the planet.

All in all, it’s been a pretty solid month for Xbox Game Pass. March started off with theSoulslike titleWo Long, which launched to solid reviews, and has since added games likeDead Space 2, Dead Space 3, Valheim, Civilization 6, MLB The Show 23, and more. Meanwhile,Xbox Game Pass already has a stellar lineup for Aprilas well, including first-party games likeGhostwire TokyoandMinecraft Legends, an excitingPokemonclone calledCassette Beasts, and a handful more (with announcements likely to come soon).

Either way, today’s game is exciting in its own right. It’s a Rhythm RPG that combines elements of turn-based role-playing games, action games, and rhythm games. Players complete these battles with exciting solos or powerful duets as the variousmain characters ofInfinite Guitars: JJ, Sam, Kaylee, and/or Ru. Story-wise, the game is about the return of metal war machines that once wrecked humanity, leaving humanity to scavenge and fight just to survive. With music, it seems players are turning the war machines' strengths against them.

As of this writing, there’s not much in the way of reviews forInfinite Guitars. Fans can expect them to trickle out over the next couple of days, but minus those planning to pick it up on Nintendo Switch or Steam, there’s definitely no harm in picking it up onXbox Game Pass. It comes at no additional cost to the popular subscription service, and in fact, is available on the console, cloud, and PC versions of Game Pass. Of course, with March up, many are likely curious what Microsoft will reveal for April.
