Sony typically reveals itsPS Plusselection for the upcoming month on the final Wednesday prior to it, with few exceptions such as during the holidays. However, the final Wednesday of March came and went without a solid word from the gaming giant, leaving many to wonder when the officialPS PlusApril 2020 announcement will actually take place.

The most suspicious part of this missing reveal is that it just followed a leak. Occasionally, something somewhere will slip, including from Sony itself, and reveal the upcoming games ahead of time. ThePS Plus April 2020 leakrevealed thatUncharted 4: A Thieves EndandDiRT Rally 2.0would be coming as the new games, with it seemingly coming from a video directly from Sony. It has since been marked private, so there’s a good chance that this video was meant to reveal the games, but it has yet to be officially posted.

April 1, April fools' day, is a day for all kinds of pranks, and the gaming industry is no different. Over the years, there have been several different pranks such as whenFF14parodiedPokemon GO, when theAnthemsubreddit turned intoDivision 2forums, and far more. As such, it’s not impossible that the aforementioned leak and the forthcoming reveal seemingly set for this particular day are some intricate set-up to reveal the real games for the month (or, the leak itself may have been a genuine leak with the company planning a different set of games to be showed as a prank).

Regardless, fans don’t have much longer to wait to find out if this aforementioned leak is true or not, as either the day comes and the reveal is made, or it could be announced even before then. Either way,April’s PS Plus gamessound about as good as any, so only time will tell.
