Watson and Moriarty come face-to-face in new images from theWatsonseason 1 finale, with the pair finally crossing paths with one another. Thecast ofWatsonincludes a number of familiar faces from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s originalSherlock Holmesworks, modernized for the medical mystery series' new take. One of these is Moriarty (Randall Park), who was has been a thorn in Watson’s (Morris Chestnut) side since the death of Sherlock (Matt Berry). This has included a blackmail scheme involving Dr. Ingrid Derian (Eve Harlow).
In new images released byCollider,Watson and Moriarty finally meet one another in person,teasing their interactions with one another in theWatsonseason 1 finale. The pair can be seen standing next to one another, with the title character reading from a blue folder. The Finale Is Gearing Up For Some Major Events
The show’s two-part season finale begins on Sunday, May 4 and concludes on Sunday, May 11, seeing major characters in the show fall ill. The titular protagonist will be investigating how to save his team members, while Tika Sumpter will be guest starring as his new love interest, an oncologist named Laila. It seems Moriarty is going to be heavily involved as well, though it’s unclear if theSherlock Holmesserieswill reveal him as the architect behind this particular event.
It seems like, with the pair talking to each other, their animosity for one another will come out through dialogue and conversation. How far this will spread is unclear, butcould reveal a devious plot from Moriarty- a culmination of everything he’s been doing since the series began. It may also cause their rivalry to keep going inWatsonseason 2, especially now that the duo have physically met with one another. How their antagonism progresses, though, won’t be clear until the final episodes arrive.
