At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, theTwisted Metalcast confirmed that season 2 will include a time jump that will shake up the story. Fans have long-awaited the second season of Peacock’sTwisted Metal, which is one of thebest video game TV show adaptations of all time.Screen Rantwas present at theSDCCpanel “Sneak Peek at Peacock’s Action Comedy Twisted Metal season 2” in Ballroom 20, where the cast revealed exciting details about the upcoming season.

Most notably, Stephanie Beatriz shared thatTwisted Metalseason 2 will take place seven months after the end of season 1. The actor shared that Quiet has teamed up with the Dolls, the faction fromTwisted Metal (2012)led by Dollface. They will act as Robin Hood figures, entering Calypso’s tournament in order to force societal changes that benefit the outsiders. Additionally, Beatriz teased that Quiet may have a new female love interest.

Luckily, fans won’t have to wait long to find out more about Quiet and the Dolls.Twisted Metalseason 2 switched to a weekly release schedule, so the first three episodes premiere on Thursday, July 31, with two episodes coming out weekly after that.

What The Time Jump Means For Twisted Metal Season 2

Quiet & John Doe Will Most Likely Spend More Time Apart

Twisted Metalseason 1 endswith Quiet and John Doe separated from one another. Quiet meets Dollface and the Dolls while John Doe is inside New San Francisco. Based on the description Stephanie Beatriz provided about the time jump, it seems that they will remain separated from one another for at least some of the time leading up to the tournament.

It’s unclear whether Quiet will actually join the Dolls or just make an alliance with them. After all, she is a lone rider who struggled to work as a team with John Doe. Either way, they will all be working towards the same goal in the tournament, making them a team for all intents and purposes.

The fact that the Dolls will be competing in the tournament suggests thatTwisted Metalmight eventually include other factions fromTwisted Metal (2012)in the TV show. The Holy Men appear inTwisted Metalseason 1, and they sort of include the Clowns, though they don’t match the visuals of the video game. So, now the show needs just new members of the Clowns with actual clown masks, and the Skulls, led by Mr. Grimm.

Our Take On Stephanie Beatriz’s Statement

Twisted Metal Season 2 Has A Lot Of Exciting Things In Store For Quiet

Twisted Metalseason 2 is almost here, and the SDCC 2025 panel only increased my excitement. There are two major takeaways that I have from Stephanie Beatriz’s comments aboutTwisted Metalseason 2’s time jump. Firstly, Twisted Metal’s the Dolls will be central to Quiet’s storyline in season 2. Though we knew Dollface would appear in the second season, it wasn’t clear how prominent the actual group would be. I’m thrilled that the faction will be the rebel group trying to overhaul the cities.

Secondly, Quiet might have a new love interest. Although the character was never explicitly bisexual in the TV show, Stephanie Beatriz intentionally played Quiet as a bisexual badass (viaQ Salt Lake Magazine). As an LGBTQ+ viewer, I quickly noticed how queer-coded the character is, and I loved every second of it. I’m excited to see how they develop her relationships in the second season, and I’m certain there will be a little bit of jealousy from John Doe, considering how much he flirted with Quiet inTwisted Metalseason 1.
