The Witcherseries has been an inspiration for a number of fan creations. In its fantasy world, players run into impressive sites, interesting characters, and a ton of horrifying creatures. Because of this, players have quite the selection to choose from when it comes to making fan art. In the latest tribute toThe Witcher, one player sketched Geralt of Rivia and his Signs from the game.
The Witcherseries combines Slavonic mythology with fantasy elements to create its world and has seen three major installments thus far. Players will knowGeralt as the main character ofThe Witcherseriesand the symbols in this post as the representations of the one-handed magic spells, known as Signs, that he can use in combat.

This design by u/Overall_Cod2206 is a fine example of how much detail artists can show with a mix of microtip pens and markers. In this drawing, Geralt of Rivia is shown with his typical armor and outfit including his wolf pendant. The artist is able to convey the pattern of each piece of Geralt’s armor as well as the scars on his face and facial hair with ease. U/Overall_Cod2206 even shows off the pens and markers they used to create this artwork on the right side of the drawing. To the left of the character is a half ring containing thefive basic symbols for the Signs inThe Witcher. These are each drawn brilliantly and the color of these symbols works well with the all-black look of the rest of the sketch.
The post shows off Geralt of Rivia’s torso and the Signs brilliantly even though this creation likely took quite a bit of time. In general, relying on smaller tipped pens and markers can be quite a difficult task for larger drawings but u/Overall_Cod2206 has made it look easy. The Signs haven’t seen much change to their look overthe three major installments inThe Witcherseriesand so fans of any one of these games should likely recognize u/Overall_Cod2206’s creation with ease.
This piece of fan art easily conveys boththe magic system inThe Witcherseriesas well as its major character. The entire design should be immediately recognizable for any fan of the books, games, or show. U/Overall_Cod2206 showed just enough to convey what they wanted without overcomplicating this brilliant drawing.
That being said, choosing to show just Geralt’s torso can be a bit jarring to see. Without his arms, life as a Witcher would be quite challenging and there are likely some fans that will protest this artistic choice. Either way, however, this artwork is an impressive feat and should delight almost any fan of the series.
