Based on the Jump+ manga by Taizan 5 and animated Enishiya,Takopi’s OriginalSinis a 6 episode anime following an alien Nueinukf (later called Takopi) who comes to Earth in order to improve the lives of humans. His first task is to help a young girl named Shizuka who experiences intense bullying.

After a plot to make Shizuka happy goes horrifically wrong, Takopi travels back in time to try and improve the situation for himself and the young girl he’s been tasked with helping.
To say much more about the plot would dip into spoiler territory, but the series tackles heavy subjects like depression, bullying, and accepting consequences for one’s actions with a deft hand. The end result has been a show that has aserious chance at unseatingSolo Levelingin 2025’s Anime of the Year Awards.

Far from being needlessly cruel or just dark for the sake of it, though, the series uses darker subject matter to contrast with its cutesy character designs, creating a story about how it truly feels to be a child experiencing prolonged trauma.
With an original premise and a thought-provoking commentary on childhood grief,Takopi’s Original Sinhas more than earned its place among the all-time anime greats. Regardless of whether it maintains its high rating or not, the series clearly means a lot to many anime fans.
