What The Pitt’s New Doctors, Nurse, & Patient Mean For Season 2

The Pitt’s Scope Is Expanding & It’s Continuing To Take Chances On Young Actors

All four of the new actors tied toThe Pittseason 2 prove one thing: the medical drama is only going to get bigger and more ambitious. These new actors are a hint thatThe Pittis going to add even more stories and character dynamics into its overarching narrative. It’s also a sign thatThe Pittseason 2 will still get a chance to have some of the “fish out of water” dynamics the first season had, as the new residents and nurses will likely still be finding their footing in the ER.

It’s also worth noting that many of the new actors added to the cast ofThe Pittseason 2 are relatively unknown. Charles Baker has already proven himself inBreaking Badand Irene Choi has highlighted her talents in shows likeCommunity, butLaëtitia Hollard and Lucas Iverson have mostly only had experience with stage plays prior toThe Pitt. That could end up paying off in dividends, though: it’s the same strategyThe Pittused with Patrick Ball, who was mostly known for theater acting, and Dr. Langdon is one of thebest characters onThe Pitt.

Our Take On The Pitt’s Newest Actors & Their Potential Storylines

The Pitt Season 2’s New Cast Members Already Seem Fascinating & Could Play Off Some Season 1 Setups

I am, admittedly, a big fan ofThe Pitt, but this casting news would be encouraging even if I wasn’t.Baker and Choi are already proven actors who will add even more talent toThe Pittseason 2, and Hollard and Iverson have a lot of potential to be standout characters in their own right. I’m very excited to see how these new characters fit into the already complicated web of relationships between the established characters ofThe Pitt, and I’m confident the show can blend them into the story seamlessly.

I’m also particularly excited for Charles Baker’s new role as Troy, an unhoused man.The Pitthas always had a lot of societal critiques to dole out, and it’s encouraging to know that the way unhoused people are treated is going to be a focus again in season 2. It also gives me hope that Whitaker’s (Gerran Howell) story about joining PTMC’s street team won’t go unresolved, as I’d really like to see his character developed further. In short, the new cast members added toThe Pittseason 2 could be a very good sign of things to come.
