It won’t be too much longer beforeUbisoftand Massive Entertainment’s forthcoming third-person shooter sequel,Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, officially arrives across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. With this being the case, the video game publisher and developer have decided to prime potential players for the kind of content to come in the new looter-shooter by releasing the title’s official launch trailer.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2’s launch trailer follows a handful of different Agents as they explore a fictional version ofWashington D.C.in ruins, showing that player characters will be tasked with bringing order back to the city. Along the way, players will encounter myriad enemies and fight them with the use of a multitude of weapon types, pieces of technology, and combat strategies.
Plenty of iconic Washington D.C. locations are on display inThe Division 2’s launch trailer, including the Capitol Building, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and more. There’s even one location that depicts a downed and destroyed Air Force One.
Not only doesThe Division 2’s launch trailer hint at a lot of the content that players should expect to encounter in the game when it releases, but also it incentivizes pre-orders of the title’s Gold Edition. There are a bunch ofdifferent special editionsto pre-order, but one of the motivations behind pre-ordering the Gold Edition is that it provides one with three-day early access ahead of launch.
All things considered, it will be interesting to see howThe Division 2is received upon release, and whether or not it will provide players with an adequate amount of quality content both of the base and endgame variety. Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have already mapped out Year One’s post-launch DLC plans, so it definitely appears as if the companies are preparing to cater to a rather sizable player base once the title officially drops.
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2is set to launch on June 16, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
