There are five Diving Board Challenges inTchia, and some players will undoubtedly be interested in earning a gold trophy at each one of them. While that is not an extremely difficult thing to do, there is very little in-game information about diving. This may leave some fans confused about how to even perform a dive inTchia, and this guide is here to alleviate that confusion and provide details on how to rack up challenge points.
Tchia: How to Dive
In order to perform a dive inTchia, players must simply holdR2as they jump toward water and then use theright joystickto select options from the radial menu that appears. Indeed, while R2 will pull up an emote radial menu when Tchia is on the ground, that menu is replaced with a diving tricks menu when she is airborne. For full clarity, those tricks allow the titular protagonist to spin and flip as she plummets toward the water, and fans ofopen-world indie gamescan have some fun stringing these moves together.

Players should now be able to engage with theTchia’s Diving Board Challenges, though they may still struggle to reach the point requirements associated with the gold trophies. For those fans ofPlayStation console exclusivesthat are having some trouble accumulating the requisite number of points, here is a simple strategy that should prove effective:
If executed properly, these actions will result in a Combo and Clean Entry bonus, which should give players enough points to claim the gold trophy. Notably, if a fan has an unsatisfactory dive, they can simply opt to retry the Diving Board Challenge from the pause menu. This is a very nice feature, as it means that players need not climb, or useTchia’s Soul-Jump, to make repeat attempts.
To note, Diving Board Challenges are certainly not the only ways by which players can earn gold trophies. Indeed, there are also Races and Shooting Range Challenges, which fans can make appear on the in-game map by shouting from the Points of View that overlookTchia’s New Caledonia-inspired world.
Tchiais available on PC, PS4, and PS5.
