The big news forSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateplayers today was the reveal of theByleth DLC, but that wasn’t the only thing Nintendo announced for the ambitious crossover fighting game. New Mii costumes were also confirmed, based on franchises from Ubisoft, Capcom, and more.
Two Ubisoft-themed costumes are coming toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateon January 28 in the form of an Altair outfit for the Mii Swordfighter and a Rabbids hat. Capcom will be represented by aMega Man Xcostume for the Mii Gunner, as well as a MegaMan.EXE (based on theBattle Networkseries) that will also be available for the Mii Gunner. The Mii Gunner character inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatewill be getting even more love with the addition of the Cuphead costume. Each costume costumes $0.75 each, and they will all be available to purchase in the game beginning January 28.

The Cuphead costume for theMii Gunnercompletely changes the way the character looks, to the point that it may as well be full-fledgedCupheadDLC. Not only that, butSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateplayers that purchase the Cuphead costume will also get a bonus song from the game, Floral Fury.
This isn’t the first time Nintendo has added elaborate Mii Fighter costumes toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate. In the past, fans have also had the chance to getUndertaleDLC, a Team Rocket outfit, and more. At the very least, this gives Nintendo the chance to represent even more franchises than it would be able to otherwise.
In future,Super Smash Bros. Ultimatefans can expect even moreMii Fighter DLC costumesto get added to the game. After all, Nintendo has now committed to supportingSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateall the way through December 2021, with plans to release a whopping six more DLC characters as part of the newly announced Fighters Pass Volume 2.
As for what franchises these future Mii Fighter DLC costumes will be based on, that remains to be seen. If anything, we’ve learned that these costumes can be based on just about anything, so fans will have to stay tuned to find out more information.
