The Duffer Brothers posted a typed note on Netflix’s social media that laid outthe future ofStranger Things. They announced thatStranger Things' fourth season will premiere in two volumes. The first will release on Jun 07, 2025, while the second volume will release on June 04, 2025. “So that’s the good news,” the Duffers wrote. “It’s coming soon. And it’s bigger than ever.” This news was also accompanied by four new posters that preview focal settings for the characters ofStranger Things, all of which feature the phrase, “Every ending has a beginning.” The Duffers also announced in their letter thatStranger Thingswould come to an end after its fifth season.
“With nine scripts, over eight-hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season,Stranger Things 4was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one,” the Duffers wrote. The episodetitles for the upcoming season ofStranger Thingswere announced several months ago, which have given fans little insight into what each one may have in store. Given the division of theStrangers Thingsgang, its fourth season already has the makings to be unlike anything the series has had yet.

In working on the show, they found that the story extended beyond season 4 and that to offer the ending they feel the show deserves, they will conclude the sci-fi journey with another season.
With Hopper stranded in Russia, theByers family and Eleven in California, and the rest of the gang stuck in Hawkins, how the gang ends up back together remains to be seen. The Duffers promise that “There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world ofStranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes.” To find out exactly what they mean, the world will find out with the release of season 4’s first volume.
