Stardew Valley’s Pufferfish
Although notone ofStardew Valley’s best fish, there still are several recipes that require this round, spikey fish. The Pufferfish is part of the Specialty Fish Bundle, and it can be used in several recipes. To makeMaki Rolls,Sashimi, andQuality Fertilizer, players will need a fish of any type, and the Pufferfish makes a great ingredient since it’s not needed for much of anything else. They also sell for anywhere from 200 to 600 gold. Pufferfish can be put in a Fish Pond, possibly earning players some yellow Pufferfish Roe.

Pufferfish can be also be used in the spool oftheStardew Valley’s Sewing Machine. It creates a Sailor Shirt that is dyeable. There is one NPC that loves Pufferfish: Abigail. The rest of the NPCs that players can give gifts to are either neutral or negative toward Pufferfish.
Where and When to Find Pufferfish
As mostStardew Valleyplayers know, fish have specific locations, seasons, and times of day that they can be caught. The Pufferfish can be caught in three ways. The first is during asunny summer day between 12 PM and 4 PM in the ocean. Pufferfish can also be caught onGinger Island; they can be found duringany seasonin Island West, South, Southeast, and Pirate Cove locations.
Players can alsopurchase Pufferfish from the Traveling cartfor 600 to 1,000 gold.
Quests That Require a Pufferfish
Three quests require players to either catch or buy Pufferfish. These quests will only appear in the game duringStardew Valley’s summer season. These three quests are:
