Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwill be officially unveiledthis Saturday, April 13, but in the meantime, a ton of information on the game may have leaked. A Reddit user by the name of SchrodingersWitcher has salvaged information from deleted posts on the ResetEra forum that was apparently shared by aStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderdeveloper. The leak, if it’s real, reveals a lot about the game, and touches on its combat system, which will apparently remind people ofDark SoulsandSekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s combat will be compared toDark Souls, according to the leaker, and will have parrying likeSekiro. The leaker then added that players will “feel like a Jedi” when playing the game. Of course, fans should take this information with a big grain of salt, and even if this information is accurate, it doesn’t necessarily mean thatStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s combat will be as tough asDark SoulsorSekiro.
IfStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s combat is likeSekiro’s as rumored, a more likely scenario is that it mimics From Software’s games without the ultra-high difficulty. It doesn’t seem likely that EA would want to potentially alienate a huge portion of theStar Warsaudience by offering a game as hard as From Software’s offerings.
As for the rest ofStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s gameplay, it will reportedly be a linear single-player experience with some open world elements. Players will travel to multiple planets as a pre-made male protagonist, along with their companion droid. The game will apparently use Unreal Engine 4 and will also draw comparisons toStar Wars: The Force Unleashedand theUnchartedgames.
Again, we must stress that fans take this information with a grain of salt, as it’s quite possible it’s all been fabricated. However, theStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderreveal streamis just days away, so we should find out sooner rather than later if there is any legitimacy to these leaks.
