Netflix is hard at work promotingSquid Game: The Challengeseason 2 for its November premiere, and it recently released a new teaser trailer for the series. Still, the network recently green-litSquid Game: The Challenge season 3, andpreparations are under way to film another season.
The plot of the show involves 456 contestants playing for a chance to win a $4.56 million grand prize. They are pushed to their limits through back-to-back competitions that are designed to test their physical and mental endurance.
Producers were able to overcome some of the challenges ofSquid Game: The Challengeseason 1, includinga threatened lawsuit against Netflix on behalf of contestantswho were injured during production. An actual lawsuit was never filed, but the optics of the threat of a lawsuit didn’t look good for Netflix.

According to a story inTudum, Netflix has begun casting, or “player recruitment,” forSquid Game: The Challengeseason 3. But there’s an added twist:casting forSquid Game: The Challengeseason 3 can be conducted throughSquid Game: The Experience.

AtSquid Game: The Experience, fans can compete in challenges similar to the actual show. Netflix is careful to note thatwinners ofSquid Game: The Experiencewill not be automatically selected to compete on season 3, but will be given priority in the casting process.
If a player winsSquid Game: The Experienceand chooses to try and compete on the show on site, they’ll be given further information, but will also apparentlyreceive priority preference in castingfor season 3.
Casting will be sure to be competitive, asTudumnoted that ahead of season 1,Netflix received more than 81,000 applicationsto compete.
Netflix also has a casting website,squidgamecasting.com, where fans can visit to apply or get more information. Applicants must be aged 21 and up, and other terms and conditions may apply.

Will Potentially Air In November 2026
As Netflix has only recently announced a release date forSquid Game: The Challengeseason 2, an announcement on a release date for season 3 is still a ways off. Season 2 will air in November, as did season 1, soit’s reasonable to assume that season 3 will also drop sometime in November of 2026.
In the meantime,fans can get excited forSquid Game: The Challengeseason 2, and if they are so inclined, they can even attempt to play at one of theSquid Game: The Experiencefan immersion experiences, bettering their chances for casting.
