It’s been a while since Miranda had a romance work out. While she dated Che inAnd Just Like Thatseasons 1 and 2, Miranda was still navigating a divorce, and things took a sour turn. With her past behind her, Hobbes actually has a beautiful romance story happening inAnd Just Like Thatseason 3.
Miranda’s Relationship With Joy Is Already Her Best Sex And The City Romance
Miranda & Joy Go Deeper In “Present Tense”
While they’re early on in the romance, it looks likethe flame between Joy and Miranda could be Hobbes’ best romance of all time. The women shared a beautiful moment inAnd Just Like That, season 3, episode 9, and it suggested that the romance will continue, allowing Miranda and Joy to delve deeper into it and through it, themselves.
The heartfelt development follows what happened in episode 8, when Joy leaves a bottle of gin at Miranda’s apartment. Hobbes, a recovering alcoholic, opted to throw it down the trash shoot to avoid temptation. Rather than commit to a lie,Miranda was honest about her alcoholism, which could be the beginning of something outstanding.
Miranda’s confession surprised Joy, and while it looked for a moment that she had one foot out the door,Joy saw her girlfriend’s disposition as an opportunity to look inward, into the reasons why she drinks, and to grow. Therefore, both women are willing to delve into their experiences and baggage to become closer, which is a great start.
Why Miranda’s Previous Romances Didn’t Work Out
Miranda Needed To Grow More
Things won’t always be smooth sailing, but Miranda and Joy have a solid foundation to build on.The situation couldn’t be more opposite of Miranda’s romances with Steve and Che, which both had their pitfalls. Ultimately, Miranda was in denial about different aspects of herself. Now that she has embraced them, she can truly show up in a relationship.
When Miranda was dating Steve, the romance was marred by a lot of toxic behavior. Both Steve and Miranda had a lot of growing to do, and unfortunately,Steve’s desire to get a puppy and have a baby somewhat distracted them from creating a solid foundation. It was a pretty dysfunctional relationship, never fully resolved until the revival.
Hobbes insists that Che is the reason she left her marriage, not fully embracing her underlying sexuality.
Even after Miranda comes to terms with Steve not being the right partner, after meeting Che,Hobbes insists that Che is the reason she left her marriage, not fully embracing her underlying sexuality. It appears now that Miranda is rethinking that, since she’s continued to seek queer relationships, and it’s bringing her a lot of satisfaction.
Now that Miranda has embraced different aspects of her identity, she’s able to bring her whole self to the table. With Hobbes embracing her sexuality and her alcoholism, she can be sincere, vulnerable, and present with someone, which is a first for her. That’s why her latestAnd Just Like Thatromance could easily be her best.
