Just like every year a newSuperSmashBros.is in development, speculations and rumors are in abundance - especially right before a large event like the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3). The latestSuper Smash Bros.gossip is that the master of tactical espionage action himself, Solid Snake, will be returning to the fray for another round.

While the source, Reddit user DasVergeben, has a hit or miss history with leaks, he is sometimes right. He correctly predicted the existence ofSoulCalibur 6and has released early information on a fewInjustice 2DLC characters as well. He has been regularly submittingSuperSmash Bros.leaks from his various sources online for months now, with his most recent rumor being that Solid Snake will be back for the newest title on Switch.

A couple weeks ago, he claimed to have heard thattwo long-time fan requests would be joiningthe roster. He says a credible source relayed that Ridley (Metroid)and Simon Belmont (Castlevania)would finally become playable characters. It is worth noting that none of what was leaked has been confirmed by Nintendo, and probably none of it will be until E3 begins next week.

The game will have a strong presence at the event, so a lot of questions should be answered there. Much of what attendees can expect this year, including aplayable demo of Super Smash Bros., has already been laid out by Nintendo. Now it is just a matter of seeing how much Nintendo is willing to show audiences, though it is likely the company will hold onto a few characters to reveal in future Nintendo Directs presentations.
