Several months ago, a cryptic post from an officialCyberpunk 2077social media account got fans of the forthcoming role-playing game excited andspeculating an announcementwould be made about the title at some point in the near future. Unfortunately, though, little is still known about the RPG, save for the fact that it’s in development. However, should a recent rumor be accurate, then a lot of information could come during E3 2018, as a bit of hearsay has been making the rounds online that CD Projekt Red plans to hold an hour-long presentation at the event.

This much comes from Francesco Fossetti, the editor for Everyeye.it – one of the most known outlets in Italy – who stated on Facebook that he recently made an appointment with CD Projekt Red for a closed doors presentation that will last an hour. While Fossetti said that he wasn’t exactly sure what the exhibition would be for, many are theorizing that it has to do with a demonstration related toCyberpunk 2077.

While CD Projekt Red hasn’t explicitly stated what it would be discussing at E3 2018, the fact that the developer has planned on attending the event points to a showing ofCyberpunk 2077being in the cards. After all, the company has already revealed that the game’spre-release marketing will begin this year, and it wouldn’t make much sense for CD Projekt Red to be at E3 2018 without having something of the title to display.

Bearing all of this in mind, there’s no telling how far along in developmentCyberpunk 2077is, but it’s a safe bet that the RPG makes an appearance in some capacity at E3 2018 – even if it’s just a closed doors showing. Of course, it’s still undetermined whether the presentation will be in the form of a simple announcement,a trailer, or a demo– or perhaps all three – but there’s no doubt that the creators of the fan favorite and critical darlingThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntwill want to have its next game make a major impression before launch, and this year’s E3 would be a good place to do it.

Cyberpunk 2077has yet to receive an official release date or platform announcements.
