It would appear that 3DS owners will have the opportunity to travel to Beanbean Kingdom in the near future, according to some information recently datamined from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. It sounds as ifMario & Luigi: Superstar Sagais primed for a rerelease on the console following a report by infamousPokemondataminer SciresM, whom recently pulled files on bothEver Oasisand the aforementioned rerelease.
The unannounced game is said to currently be listed asMario & Luigi: Superstar Saga DX, which could indicate a director’s cut of sorts for the fan-favorite entry in the ever-growingMario & Luigiseries. Since SciresM doesn’t have any more details on the listing outside of a sequence of numbers and its name, this potential product is certainly open for speculation amongst those hoping to see the Game Boy Advance title make its return.
Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime only just recently confirmed that the company plans on announcingnew games for the Nintendo 3DS at E3 2017, which would be the ideal stage for this supposed Mario & Luigi rerelease to rear its head. Whether or not it will be a slightly revised port or a complete remaster remains to be seen – provided that these datamine results are indeed the real McCoy – but it’s currently impossible to tell with the available information.
