Rumors have been swirling for months that the PlayStation 4 exclusive gameBloodborneis set to get a PS5 remaster. While nothing official has been announced to date, a listing by a French retailer may be more evidence that aBloodborneremaster is indeed in the works.
French retailer Fnac, who accurately leaked thePS5 pre-order date, had a listing for an unannouncedBloodbornePS5 game. Mention of the game has since been removed, and it’s entirely possible that it was listed by mistake. But since Fnac accurately leaked the PS5 pre-order date, fans are paying a bit more attention to this “leak” than they would otherwise.

This is far from the first time that we’ve heard of a potentialBloodbornePS5 remaster. Earlier this summer, rumors and leaks pointed to not only aBloodbornePC port, but an upgradedBloodborneon PS5. Whether or not there’s any truth to that remains to be seen, but this Fnac listing could very well be taken as further evidence that the critically-acclaimed PS4 exclusive is indeed making its way to the PS5 at some point down the line.
Technically,Bloodbornewill be playable on the PS5 at launch, just not in the form of an upgraded port. While fans wait for news on theBloodbornePS5 remaster, they can play the game on their system through the system’s backward compatibility program. Not only that, but even some PlayStation gamers who don’t ownBloodbornecould very well get the chance to play through the game on day one for PS5.
Meanwhile, some fans may be more interested in hearing about apotentialBloodborne 2. IfBloodborne 2does exist, it’s unlikely to be seen anytime soon. Right now, From Software is busy developingElden Ringwith George R.R. Martin, and so a potentialBloodbornesequel will have to wait. Fans of From Software’s work will be able to play theDemon’s Soulsremake at launch, though, with the remake being handled byShadow of the Colossusremake studio Bluepoint Games.
