As seen in the brief film clip forResident Evil: Vendettabelow, fans can watch Chris and Leon make short work of a group of the undead with maneuvers that would make John Wick proud. Both of the survival-horror game series protagonists stick to their weapons of choice, with Chris wielding a meaty assault rifle, while Leon sticks with a handgun with a seemingly unlimited supply of ammunition.
While the latest piece of footage forResident Evil: Vendettadoesn’t offer much in the way of plot information, the story had been previously teased out ina trailer released several months back, detailing the plans of the movie’s villain Glen Arias, who wants to start a zombie outbreak in New York City. As far as the film’s placement in the chronology of theResident Evilseries is concerned, it’s supposedly canon and is set somewhere in betweenRE6andRE7.
Resident Evil: Vendettais set to have an international release on August 06, 2025. As far as its debut in the North America is concerned, though, fans will only be privy to an exclusive one-night only theatrical release in the continent on July 28, 2025.
