After it was revealed thatRe:Zero - Starting Life in Another World’sstudio,WHITE FOX, had been bought out by the publishing company, AlphaPolis, anime fans were growing concerned over the direction of the studio going forward. For a short time, it was widely believed that season 4 may not get the attention it deserved.
Upon acquisition, AlphaPolis had made a statement that summarized their key goals to ensure high-quality anime while incorporating their wide range of IPs. For some fans, this didn’t address their concerns with what would happen with the already existing projects currently in progress at WHITE FOX. However, the former CEO has stepped in to put their worries to rest.

AlphaPolis May Introduce Other Projects, but Re:Zero Will Not Be Lost
As concerns seemed to be rising to a peak, the former CEO of WHITE FOX,Gaku Iwasa, hopped onto X(Formerly Twitter) to address fans directly. “As forRe:Zero, I plan to stick with it until the end,” he states, “unless Kadokawa-san or Tentei Nagatsuki give me the boot.”
Tappei Nagatsuki is the author ofRe:Zero - Starting Life in Another World, although Gaku uses an informal nickname for him in his address to the audience. He reaffirms that although the heads may change, the anime will continue moving forward and producing the next season as planned, ensuring the future of the adaptation.
Gaku would clarify that even ifRe:Zerowere somehow pushed off the schedule or some other matter came up, he would personally see to it that the handover is conducted properly. So, in the worst-case scenario, the anime could move studios to ensure its adaptation does not fall below thenew standards it set for itself in season 3.

While AlphaPolis Introduces Its Own IP, Pre-Existing Anime Will Not Be Lost In the Schedule
Thus far, there have been no changes toRe:Zero’snext season still scheduled for sometime in 2026. Creators and producers haven’t expressed any desire to move in spite of the transition, so all seems well for fans to once again return to patiently waiting.
AlphaPolis’ initial statement may have been directed more so to their own IPs to reassure fans and backers that the goals in the studio would not change and that it would continue to see that high-quality anime is still produced. Addressing its IPs' quick and timely production was likely in tandem with projects it hasn’t been able to expedite prior.
