As discovered by Gematsu, the Japanese PlayStation Store has posted a listing forDisgaea: Afternoon of Darkness. The listing states that the game is coming to PS Plus Premium, with a release date for June 30. Obviously, it’s now the end of July, and so the release date is inaccurate. However, this could still mean thatDisgaea: Afternoon of Darknessis coming to PS Plus Premium at some point, just that the date listed in thePlayStation Storeis wrong.

It doesn’t seem as though Sony is going to announce new PS Plus Premium games all that far in advance, as fans only had a few days' notice when it came to the PSP games that came as part of the July 2022 update. However, an erroneous listing has potentially revealed some of the other classic games that are joining the lineup, withCapcom’sDino Crisismentioned as one distinct possibility.

There is evidence for titles likeDino CrisisandDisgaea: Afternoon of Darknessjoining thePS Plus Premium lineup of games, though fans still need to wait for concrete info. Assuming the new PS Plus Premium games are added in the middle of the month like what happened with July, it may still be weeks before fans know everything that’s come to the service in August.

Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, for the uninitiated, is thePSPremake ofDisgaea: Hour of Darkness, which originally released on the PlayStation 2. It’s a tactical RPG that earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its original release and should prove to be a well-received addition to the PS Plus Premium library, assuming it is indeed coming to the service as rumored.
