February 2022 is moving right along andPokemon GOplayers have a ton of exciting events to enjoy this month. Thefull February 2022 calendar of eventsis available now and trainers have non-stop activities throughout the coming weeks. As always, the month will include a Community Day event for trainers to enjoy in addition to the other limited events, features, and bonuses.
Hoppip Community Day will kick off on Saturday, July 02, 2025 inPokemon GOand provide some extra special bonuses for participating trainers. There will be some extra bonuses available even for players who aren’t particularly interested in Hoppip or its shiny variant. The3x Catch Stardust bonusis perhaps the most enticing bonus in the Community Day rotation, so players won’t want to miss this opportunity to stock up on the game’s most precious resource.

Hoppip isn’t the most popular Pokemon, but an interesting exclusive move that will be available for its evolution could help draw out the PvP crowd. It’s unlikely to really shake up thePoGO metagame, but it will be a good tool to have in the arsenal going forward. As for collectors, the increased shiny rates during Community Day events are always sure to draw them in.
Start and End Times
From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
Starting in February 2019, Community Day events now always take place on local time, no matter where you are playing. That changes a bit over the winter months as the time is split between hemispheres rather than time zones. It looks like we’re back to one time at this point though.
Special Move
Evolve Skiploom (Hoppip’s Evolution) during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Jumpluff that knows the Charged Attack Acrobatics.
Make sure to evolve during the active time window (within two hours of the event ending) if you want to secure the exclusive move.
Event Bundles
There’ll be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokéCoins, featuring 50 Ultra Balls, two Super Incubators, six Star Pieces, and an Elite Fast TM.
A bundle containing 30 Ultra Balls will be available in the shop at no cost. Be sure to pick it up during the event!
Special Research Storyline
For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Spheal Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, The Spheal Deal!
Bonuses
Shiny Variant
Niantic usually doesn’t confirm the shiny chance until after the event has started, but keep an eye out for shiny Hoppip while hunting. They’ve been a part of every other Community Day event, so we fully expect to see them this month, as well.
Hoppip’s big celebration day is just a couple of weeks away, so be sure to take care of any preparations to in-game inventory and storage space now.
