Pokemon GOraids continue to be a source of controversy for the popular mobile game. Many fans have criticized the way raids are implemented in the game, particularly EX Raids, which currently seem to be plagued by an invite bug. Now yet another problem with raids has been discovered, where players aren’t getting credit for completing legendary raids and EX Raids inPokemon GO.
According to a post on Twitter by Niantic Support, there is an issue where legendary raids and EX Raids don’t count toward players' “Battles Won” statistic. The company stopped short of revealing when this issue was discovered or what possibly caused it, but it has assured fans that the problem will be fixed in a future update forPokemon GO.
Unfortunately, when such an update will be released is still up in the air. Right now, Niantic seems to have its hands full withPokemon GOand other projects. While Niantic has assured fans that the upcomingHarry Potter: Wizards Unitewon’t impactPokemon GO, some fans may still blame it if Niantic drags its feet with releasing a fix for the raid battle tracking bug.
Not only is Niantic developing a brand new augmented reality game in the form ofHarry Potter: Wizards Unite, but the studio is also hard at work on additional content forPokemon GO. Right now the studio is currently hosting a specialGlobal Catch ChallengeinPokemon GOthat is tasking players with catching a total of 3 billion Pokemon worldwide in return for special prizes. Plus, Niantic has previously stated that third generation Pokemon will slowly be added to the game starting in December.
It’s possible that Niantic may take longer than expected with the raid battle tracking fix because of a combination of its continuedPokemon GOdevelopment and its work on new projects likeHarry Potter: Wizards Unite. Regardless of when the fix comes, though, fans should rest assured that a fix is in fact on the way, as Niantic can’t afford to lose too manyPokemon GOplayers by failing to address bugs in the game.
