Pokemon GO’sMareep Community Daywill take place today from 11am to 3pm PST. However, fans can prepare themselves for the festivities by purchasing the Community Day Box that is on sale now.
The Community Day Box inPokemon GOwent live last night, and is available for 480 coins. This means that players can purchase the box for the equivalent of $5, though players that have been saving their coins from gyms may be able to purchase it without having to break out the credit card.
The Community Day Box contains three Super Incubators, four Lucky Eggs, four Lure Modules, and a whopping 30 Ultra Balls. Since Ultra Balls are fairly hard to come by inPokemon GO, at least compared to regular Pokeballs and Great Balls, their inclusion really makes the Community Day Box a good investment for seriousPokemon GOplayers.
The Super Incubators should also come in handy for anyone planning on participating in today’s Mareep Community Day activities, as they will let players hatch eggs extremely fast. After all, the Super Incubators will be combined with the fact that eggs will hatch four times faster during the event, so players should be hatching more eggs than they’ll know what to do with.
Besides the Community Day box,Pokemon GOis also selling special boxes as part of theongoing Kanto region event. The Kanto region event lasts until April 17, and gives players the opportunity to catch first-generation Pokemon and complete their Pokedex as much as possible.
Between the ongoing Kanto region event and the imminent start of Mareep Community Day, Niantic is givingPokemon GOplayers plenty to do in the game. Moving forward, it will be interesting to see if these events continue at the rate they’re going, or if they’ll slow down until we reachPokemon GO’s second anniversary on July 6.
