It seems that fans of thePlants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfareseries may soon have something to be excited about. It appears as if a third entry into the series has been leaked.
Yesterday, a Reddit user by the name of “codmycave” posted an image of an Amazon listing for the second volume of thePlants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfarecomic book tie-in, with the description for the item giving reference toPlants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 3in the form of an acronym. The full description for the product reads, “Paul Tobin returns to write the official comic book bridge between video gamesPvZ: GW2andPvZ: GW3with Tim Lattie returning to deliver artwork!”
Electronic Artshas not yet commented on whether there will indeed be a third entry intoPlants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfareseries. If there is such a title in the works, there is a chance that the publisher may only plan on revealing it at either E3 or their 2018 EA Play event later this year.
The previous entry into the series,Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, was released in 2016 – two years after the first title. The game waswell-received in critical reviews, with some suggesting that it improved on the aspects that made the first title worth playing.
Although any information currently available on the supposed upcoming title is based on rumor, if EA does really have a newPlants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfaretitle in the works, it would not be all that surprising. Games that are well-received generally do tend to get sequels, and releasing a followup this year would fit with the previously established two-year release cycle.
However, it is important to remember that any information suggesting a newPlants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfaretitle may be in the works is just speculation at this point. Therefore, any excitement for a potential upcoming game may need to be contained for the moment.
Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare2is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
