Making progress in a game likePalworldmeans using all sorts of techniques, and that usually requires harvesting the right resources. However, it is not always easy to find the right resources to craft a particular recipe, which makes repairing a much easier alternative compared to crafting something all over again.

This applies to weapons in the game, which come with various amounts of durability that will be reduced with every use. It is important to always have working weapons out in the world, and learning how to repair them will help players make better use of their resources in the long run.
