Overwatchis currently celebrating the holiday season with its Winter Wonderland event, which gives fans the chance to unlock a number of new skins as well as compete in limited time game modes like Mei’s Snowball Offensive andYeti Hunt. Game director Jeff Kaplan has taken the celebrations to a weird place, appearing in a bizarre Twitch stream that has left fans scratching their heads.
In the stream,Overwatchgame director Jeff Kaplan sits in front of a fireplace for a little over nine hours. Throughout the vast majority of the stream, nothing noteworthy happens, with Jeff occasionally changing positions or playing with his phone. The nine hour stream appears to consist of a number of different clips edited together, but it’s done well enough that it genuinely looks like Jeff is just sitting in front of the fireplace for nine hours.
Anyone that wants to torture themselves with this super weird Christmas stream fromOverwatch’s Jeff Kaplan can check it out right here:

Very little of note happens over the course of the nine hour stream. There is one instance where Kaplan is hit in the head by a boom mic, and another where he opens a present, revealing a picture of Genji with the text “I need healing!” Otherwise, anyone hoping for some big reveal from the stream can save their time.
Even so, that might not stop some of the more hardcoreOverwatchfans from digging through the nine hour stream in search of easter eggs or hints as to who the next character will be. Whether or not there’s some secret message hidden in the stream is up for debate, but it appears as though Kaplan and theOverwatchteam decided to do this just as a joke.
Plus,Overwatchjust saw the addition of thesupport character Moiralast month, so the next character is likely a long ways off. At this point, it’s really hard to say who the next character inOverwatchwill be, but 2018 should bring with it at least one or two more playable characters for the game’s growing roster of heroes.
Overwatchis available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
