In the new Square Enix gameOutriders, players have four classes to choose from when starting up a new game. One of these classes is the Devastator, a class designed for tank-like melee combat and becoming a shield for their companions. The skills associated with this class help players looking to tank for their group.
Types of Skills
Devastators have the choice of three different types of skills: Seismic, Protection, and Kinetic. Despite each of the three subclasses leaning more towards certain types of skills over others, players of any Devastator subclass can use any of the three types of skills.

Seismic Skills
These are the skills that many have used to compare theOutriderDevastator class to EarthbendersfromAvatar: the Last Airbender. These skills focus on manipulating the earth to cause chaos and destruction in the enemy ranks.
Protection Skills
Protection skills are all about keeping teammates alive, deflecting damage and preventing injury to everyone on a Devastator’s side. These abilities allowOutrider Devastatorsto be the tank and the support class at the same time.
Kinetic Skills
Kinetic skills are mostly closely associated with the Vanquisher subclass of the Devastator. This skills allow a player to get up close and personal, which pairs well with a Vanquisher’s boosted weapon damage stats, especially from some of thelegendary weapons available toOutridersplayers.
Modifications
Outriders that have come across any items of blue rarity or higher may have noticed that theses can have Devastator mods attached to them. These mods, similar to modifications made to skills when putting points into the skill tree, buff a skill and make it stronger, faster, longer, or give it a shorter cooldown. However, they will only appear on the rarer weapons in the game, like theGrim Marrow Legendary Weapon.
Outridersreleases April 1 on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
