WithOutlast 2’srelease dateslated for next week, the developers at Red Barrels Studio have decided to give PC fans a heads up as far as what kind of components are needed to run the survival-horror title, as the company has now officially released the minimum and recommended specifications required to play the game on the platform. With this being the case, PC players have a decent amount of time to get their rigs up to snuff should their computers be lacking in the hardware department.
As it happens, the system requirements forOutlast 2on PC don’t appear to be too demanding, for it only takes a GPU with 1.5GB of VRAM in order to have the game running at optimal visual conditions at 1080p and 60 FPS. Of course, as seen in the full set of specs below, should there be fans out there with lower-end rigs with 1GB of VRAM, the survival-horror release can still be played, but the title will definitely take a hit in terms of resolution and frames-per-second.
Should there be fans out there wondering whether or notOutlast 2will be a day one purchase for them, there’s plenty of footage on the Web to wade through in order to get a better idea as to what the game’s all about. For instance, not too long ago, Red Barrels Studio sanctioned the release ofgameplay video containing 10 minutes of actionfrom the title, showing some ofOutlast 2’s beginning, its horror elements, as well as its exploration and survival aspects.
Of course, rather than simply watchingOutlast 2’s contents, fans can actually get a hands-on experience of a brief bit of the title’s offerings ahead of its launch next week for a more comprehensive understanding of its gameplay. Several months back, Red Barrels Studiooffered up a demoso as to let fans scare themselves out of their wits with a short fragment of the survival-horror title. Taking all of this into consideration, one can only hopeOutlast 2lives up to the hype as one of the most anticipated games of 2017 when it comes out next Tuesday.
Outlast 2is set to release on Jul 02, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
