Indeed,Nioh 2’s co-op mode allows players to team up for any of the game’s many missions, while also increasing their difficulty, and this guide will provide details on exactly how to access these multiplayer features.
To start, anyone that is looking to play co-op inNioh 2should first access the Mission Select screen, then navigate to the mission’s Starting Point, and then select Torii Gate. Once this option has been selected, players will then be able to chose from two different online modes, Expeditions and Random Encounters, andNioh 2’s multiplayer is accessed by selecting Expeditions.

At this point, players will be presented with two more options to pick from: Quick Match and Custom Match. As some fans will expect, selecting Quick Match pairs players randomly and with speed, making it the perfect option for fans that are wanting to get intoNioh 2’s co-op playwithout much delay. That said, considering the difficulty ofNioh 2, there is certainly no guarantee that every Quick Match party will be successful in completing their mission.
Custom Match, on the other hand, is what players that wish to team up with friends in thisnew action RPGshould chose, as this option allows fans to setup their own custom rooms that can be joined by anyone with the room’s password. In order to access an established Custom Match, the joining player simply needs to navigate to Torii Gate, Expeditions, Custom Match, then select Search, and then enter the room’s password to connect with their friend.
Once players have linked up, they can then proceed to take onNioh 2’s myriad of challenges, including theEnenra Yokai. While it is unlikely that this difficult content will be completely trivialized by tackling it with multiple players, thanks to the aforementioned difficulty increase that comes with playingNioh 2co-op, having some backup can certainly go a long way when standing up against a particularly frustrating foe.
