The NFL is expanding its alternate broadcasts partnership with Nickelodeon and will air the 2023-24 Super Bowl on more than one station for the first time ever. Along with hosting the big game on CBS, Nickelodeon will air another version of the Super Bowl in an effort to grow a new generation of fans.
For those unaware, select NFL games have aired on the kid-friendly Nickelodeon channel since 2021, delivering fun personalities and a unique visual experience for kids. After the widespread success of those events, especially a playoff Wildcard game, the two are working together for an even bigger experience.

NFL on Nickelodeon broadcasts are unique, fun, and exciting and use an array of on-screen graphics, slime, and other content to keep kids engaged. Now the biggest game of the year will get the same treatment live from Las Vegas on February 11th, 2024, for Super Bowl 58.
“We’re thrilled to partner with CBS Sports and Nickelodeon to present the first alternate telecast of the Super Bowl. Our previous telecasts on Nickelodeon have been huge hits and created a new and different way to experience an NFL game. We’re excited to bring that creativity to Super Bowl LVIII and give our fans another way to enjoy one of the world’s most popular sporting events.” — Hans Schroeder, NFL Executive Vice President of Media Distribution.
Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, Nickelodeon will also broadcast the Christmas Day game on December 25th, 2023, called the NFL Nickmas Game, as a slime-filled holiday event for kids and families.
As the NFL and Paramount continue to reach new audiences with kid-friendly telecasts, it’ll air the Nickelodeon Super Bowl internationally in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand on a delayed basis. Unfortunately, we don’t have many other details regarding announcers or what to expect, but we’ll learn more as the big day nears.
This is a significant shift for the NFL, which plays things close to the vest regarding the biggest sporting event of the year. Being able to watch the Super Bowl on more than one station is a big deal, and sharing the day with kids is a great way to get them engaged.
Additionally, for the first time since the 1990s, the NFL Sunday Ticket is nowavailable through YouTubeinstead of DirecTV.
