Playful Corp. announced that theNew Super Lucky’s Taleis now available on all major platforms, after the game originally launched for Nintendo Switch fall of last year.
Fans have been anticipatingthe port ofNew Super Lucky’s Taleto PS4 and Xbox Onesince May, but no release date had been announced. Playful Corp invited players of all ages to participate in this story-based platformer, which is a complete reimagining of the originalSuper Lucky’s Tale. The adventure follows a fox named Lucky on a quest to defeat the evil cat sorcerer Jinx and his villainous family, the Kitty Litter.

The tale begins with Lyra Swiftail, head of the Guardian Order, describing how in a stand-off with Jinx and the Kitty Litter, the magical artifact they were defending called the Book of Ages created a magical rift which pulled the villains inside. In a tragic twist of fate, her little brother was pulled inside as well. The young fox will have to traverse strange terrain, play minigames, solve puzzles, and beat many bosses to get back home to his family, though first, he must ensure Jinx and his family will not retain control of the book.
This wholesome and colorful adventure is rated E for Everyone, and it holds a similar style tothe original PlayStation’s iconic platformers. The gameplay is unique in its own right: in addition to jumping, running, and hitting things, Lucky has other tricks up his sleeve like being able to slide and burrow underground.
The originalSuper Lucky’s Taledebuted in fall of 2017for the Xbox One, but the game’s bright world seems to have been better suited for Nintendo and thus the series migrated. Now Lucky is back on Xbox, and has made his taleavailable on the PS4as well.
