With a new year comes new movies, and 2024 promises to be jam-packed with some exciting releases. The slate for March in particular includes a lot of variety, so there will be something for everyone at the theater (and on streaming) in the coming month. There are love stories, horror films, kaiju monsters, and even a return to a classic animated franchise, so there’s quite literally something for every taste. Here are the big upcoming March 2024 releases, and a little bit about what might make each one worth checking out.

Imaginaryis a horror filmabout what happens when the things in one’s imagination become real…and very scary. When Jessica returns to her childhood home, she finds her old stuffed bear Chauncey, who she then gifts to her young stepdaughter Alice. However, Alice’s behavior begins to grow concerning and the way she plays with Chauncy gets darker and darker, until Jessica realizes that Chauncey may be much more than just an old stuffed animal.
Everyone’s favorite Dragon Warrior panda is back for his fourth adventure! When Po is chosen to become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace, he must find and train a new Dragon Warrior, but a sorceress who is after the Staff of Wisdom starts to complicate things a bit. Realizing he can’t do this on his own, Po teams up withZhen, a corsac fox, and discovers that heroes really can be found in the most unlikely of places. Mainstays of theKung Fu Pandacast, including Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, and James Hong, all returned for this installment.

Their love story soon turns to violence as they get caught up in the machinations of Lou’s criminal family. The film is being distributed by A24 and stars Kristen Stewart and Katy O’Brian.
Based on an incredible true story, Arthur the King follows the captain of an adventure racing team (Mark Wahlberg), who befriends a stray dog named Arthur who is wounded. Together, the pair embark on a 435-mile endurance race through the Dominican Republic. The story is based on the 2016 non-fiction bookArthur - The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Homeby Mikael Lindnord.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empireis the sequel toGhostbusters: Afterlifeand isthe fifth installment in theGhostbustersfranchise. In this new adventure, the Spengler family returns to the iconic New York City firehouse to help the original Ghostbusters, who have developed a top-secret research lab. However, when an ancient artifact is unearthed, it unleashes an evil force that can only be stopped by the old and new Ghostbusters banding together to prevent a new ice age.
