WithCall of Duty: WW2set to launch towards the end of this year, we still don’t know much about whatSledgehammer Games has in storefor us with its latest game. That’s all about to change, however, as the developer has announced a new livestream series, which will focus on the making ofCall of Duty.
The series of episodes will be broadcast on the Sledgehammer Games Facebook page and will feature co-founders Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield alongside a range of other developers. The firstCall of Duty: WW2stream will kick off today, May 23rd, and is set to feature animation director Chris Stone, as well as campaign creative director Brett Robbins.
An in-depth look at the game has been promised, alongside the mentions of some ‘special guests’:
Streaming will begin at 3pm PT, (6pm ET/11pm BST) and will likely feature fan interactions, judging by the Facebook Live format. As of right now, we’ll have to wait and see whether any new gameplay footage is broadcast, but we’re sure to see some substantial reveals made as the series progresses.
Since the announcement of the newCall of Duty, it seems that much of thenegativity surrounding theCall of Dutyserieshas evaporated, leaving a lot of fans excited at the prospect of another excellent historic shooter. There has certainly been a reduction in the amount of upset from fans, and althoughInfinite Warfareperformed well on paper, the game’s reveal trailer received millions of dislikes on YouTube when it launched alongsideBattlefield 1footage.
In otherCall of Duty: WW2news, the upcoming Second World War title could becoming to the Nintendo Switch, according to recent rumors surrounding Canadian developer Beenox. Although no port has been announced so far, a tweet showing the Beenox team alongside army members seems to have made fans suspicious that one could be in development, allowing Nintendo fans to join the fight when the game launches later this year.
Call of Duty: WW2is slated to release on June 11, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
