It’s not a priority at the moment because, as we just said, it’s how do we get Wednesday back faster than we did in season 2? So, we kind of went right from finishing season 2 to jumping right into developing season 3. So, it’s sort of all Wednesday all the time at the moment.
How Will Gough and Millar Making Wednesday Their Priority Affect The Future Of The Show?
Where Will It Go From Here?
Since Gough and Millar immediately began development onWednesday’s third season following the wrap of season 2, it seems as though they are putting their all into the creative process for the well-liked series. While an Uncle Fester show certainly has an appeal, most viewers will likely be content withWednesdayhaving a faster release schedule, given the three-year hiatus between seasons.
Uncle Fester has been played by other famed comedic actors, including Jackie Coogan and Christopher Lloyd. He is arguably the most popular character in theAddams Familyfranchise, so it’s easy to see why a spinoff has been floated as a possibility. However, it may be some time before it ever happens.
Our Take On Scrapping An Uncle Fester Spin-Off For The Time Being
The Spinoff Could Still Happen
While it is exciting thatWednesdayhas the full attention of its creators,it is a bit disappointing that Armisen will not have his own series in theAdams Familyuniverse. Armisen is a comedic genius and embodies every character he plays, so hopefully, the actor has the opportunity to flesh out his character more than his brief appearance in season 1.
However, there is still a chance that the Uncle Fester spin-off could happen, since Gough and Millar have not outright shot down the possibility of developing the series, but moreso seem to be putting it on hold. And alas, Armisen fans can rejoice, since they will see him return inWednesdayseason 2.
