NCIS: Tony & Zivagets another trailer ahead of its premiere in a few weeks. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are set to reunite on the small screen, a decade after their star-crossed lovers said goodbye to each other inNCIS. Since then, both of them have returned to the flagship, albeit separately.
Thepremise ofNCIS: Tony & Zivais fairly simple — it’s about the couple trying to raise their daughter, Tali, in Paris when they unexpectedly deal with a breach in Tony’s security firm. Not much is known aside from that, at this point. However, being able to continue their story after all these years is a welcome development for their fans.

What The New Trailer Reveals About NCIS: Tony & Ziva
Even Tali Is Curious
WhenWeatherly returned for Ducky’sNCISepisode, rumors started swirling that there might be a chance for him to rejoin the team at Navy Yard. WithLeroy Jethro Gibbs officially retired, the flagship might benefit from bringing back fan-favorites who left the show years ago. As it turned out,NCIS: Tony & Zivawas already in development around that time.
Sadly, despite all this time,Tony and Ziva can’t seem to just settle down and stay together. Tali’s questioning reveals that even she’s confused about her parents' relationship status. Considering that nothing is stopping them from being together, the big mystery is why they are still not an official couple.
From the new footage, it seems like the crisis at Tony’s security firm will force the pair to spend more time together. While being on the run isn’t exactly fun, it might just be what they need to finally realize that they’re wasting time by continuously being childish about their feelings for each other.
Our Take On NCIS: Tony & Ziva
It’s Great To See NCIS' Star-Crossed Lovers Again
Ultimately, the fact that we’re gettingNCIS: Tony & Zivaa decade after we all thought that their story had already reached its endpoint is amazing. Both Weatherly and De Pablo have been very eager to share what their characters have been up to after all this time. Aside from starring in the show, they are also producing it.
That being said,I hope thatNCIS: Tony & Zivadoesn’t drag this new version of will-they/won’t-they plot way too long. The flagship failed to give viewers the satisfying payoff to their slowburn, and now, the franchise has the opportunity to do so via the offshoot.
