Anime NYC will host composer Yuki Hayashi, Funimation announced on Tuesday. Hayashi will perform music he wrote for theMy Hero Academiaamine alongside a band and orchestra.
Soundtrec will produce the concert, and the event is being co-organized by the Consulate General of Japan in New York.

Hayashi will perform on November 19th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan starting at 8:00 PM EST. The “My Hero Academia Official Live Concert” will celebrate the North American opening of the thirdMy Hero Academiafilm,My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes' Mission.
Hayashi’s work has appeared in a variety of television dramas, films, and anime series over the years. His first credited role was in 2009sTriangle, and he has since gone on to work on popular series such asPokemon, Shaman King, Death Parade,thePreCureseries, and many more. He has also done work for theErasedlive-action film as well as popular animated films likeOne Piece: Film GoldandBlue Spring Ride.
Hayashi has worked on all five seasons ofMy Hero Academiaas well as itsthree feature films. He’s most recently worked on Zexcs’Backflip!!Sports anime, and is set to do work on its 2022 film as well as work on the music for theLove All Playanime based on Asami Koseki’s novel series of the same name.
Kōhei Horikoshi’sMy Hero Academiamanga began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014. The series has been recognized with a variety of awards, and itspopularity has inspiredlight novel adaptations, two musicals, video game adaptations, and most notably, a long-running anime adaptation.
TheMy Hero Academiaanime is produced by Studio Bones, and first aired in 2016. 116 episodes and 5 OVAs have been produced and spread out through five seasons. Asixth season is in the works.
Viz Media publishes the manga in English, while Funimation licenses the anime overseas.My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Missionwas released on August 6th in Japan and made its theatrical debut on October 29th in North America, Ireland, and the UK.
