Since the very beginning, theMortal Kombatserieshas been focused on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible both in the fighting game genre and video games in general. Where they may have been rules about how certain aspects of a game should look or behave,Mortal Kombatchose to go in a different direction. Now it seems the latest iteration in the series,Mortal Kombat 11, has created its own, very weird “rule” about one of its characters.

Mortal Kombat 11fans will remember that the game added Sindel as a DLC character last month. She was the last of the returning fighters included with Kombat Pack 1, with the remaining roster additions – likeDC Comics’ Joker– filling the guest character role.

As areturning character, Sindelintrigued players who wanted to see how she would be different this time around. And it seems that one change developer NetherRealm has made is to protect Sindel’s cleavage from any blood or viscera while wearing a specific skin.

OneMortal Kombat 11player has shared a collage of screenshots featuring Sindel covered in her opponent’s blood. It doesn’t matter if Sindel uses a devastating brutality, fatality, or barely squeaks out a win, there never seems to be a drop of blood on her cleavage.

There doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason as to why Sindel’s cleavage is unaffected by the blood splatter. It’s possible that theSindel skinis designed in such a way that the splatter wouldn’t look realistic and so NetherRealm decided to keep it clean, but it’s a funny situation no matter what.

It’s important to point out that not all Sindel skins inMortal Kombat 11have the cleavage force field; only the specific skins picture in the collage will not take any blood on them. Other skins can get the character drenched like any otherMK 11 fighterand NetherRealm has built its latest game to let the blood fly. It’s more of a strange discovery about the game that not many players have noticed – even thoughSindel releasedtowards the end of last month.

Mortal Kombat 11is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
