Mob Psycho 100 Season 3will be simulcast on anime streaming service Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan.Key visuals and a trailer have also been released, as well as confirmation of returning cast.

Mob Psycho 100is a psychological comedy manga,written by the same authorasOne Punch Man, ‘ONE’. In 2017, the manga won the 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award in the shounen category. The anime adaption is produced by the animation studio Bones, best known for anime such asMy Hero Academia, Fullmetal Alchemist,andOuran High School Host Club.

The franchise is about a seemingly average boy nicknamed Mob, taken from the Japanese word モブ (mobu), which means background character. Despite his ordinary appearance, however, he is anesper with impressive psychic powersthat get in the way of him living the normal life he desires. Throughout the series he continuously ends up in increasingly difficult situations he must use his powers to fight against.

A few weeks before the Crunchyroll simulcast announcement,a trailer for the third seasonofMob Psycho 100was released. The trailer begins with Mob questioning his career path and dives straight into a new cult sweeping the nation, with many familiar characters. At the end of the trailer, the release date is confirmed to be October 2022.

On the anniversary of the creation of Crunchyroll’s mascot, Crunchyroll-Hime, it was announced that Crunchyroll will simulcastMob Psycho 100 Season 3. Simulcasted series are available for members of any of Crunchyroll’s three premium membership tiers, or are made available one week after release for free memberships, as long as they are in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East or CIS.

Along with the simulcasting announcement, Crunchyroll shared the cover image for the third season ofMob Psycho 100. It features both Mob and Arataka Reigen, Mob’s mentor. It has also been confirmed that the cast and stafffrom the previous two seasonswill return to reprise their roles. Yuzuru Tachikawa, who was director for the first two seasons, has been promoted to executive director, however. Takahiro Hasui is the new season director, and has previously worked withSk8 the Infinity.
