Now, you may read that headline and go, “Of courseyou would say that, Tony! You suck on the teat that isMega Man24-7!” But AH! I’ve got proof to back up my claim! Development onMega Man Unlimitedbegan a little over three years ago, and it was originally an interpretation of whatMega Man 10could be (before the official game was actually, ya know, announced). It was so convincing as an authentic product that Capcom got confused and used some of the game’s assets to create theMega Man 10homepage! There’s a big story behind that which I’ll explain at a later date.

Mega Man Unlimitedis the brainchild of Philippe Poulin, better known as MegaPhilX onYouTubeanddeviantART. This fan game was originally a concept animation created for a Capcom-Unity contest, but Phil got excited and decided to go ahead with a full project. Development technically reaches further back, as many of the Robot Masters were originally conceived during his childhood. Progress has been slow, but as the latest trailer above demonstrates, all that time and effort has been worth it.

There is so much to talk about that I couldn’t begin to fit it all in three short paragraphs, but I’ll spare you from my ramblings. For now, watch the trailer and hit up Phil’s YT and DA galleries for screens, extremely early gameplay footage, music, and more.
