Today,Marvel Studiosannounced a new behind-the-scenes documentary show about the making of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Marvel,ASSEMBLEDwill give fans a behind-the-scenes look at how theirfavorite Marvel properties came to life. The series will follow the inner workings of various films and tv shows, revealing exclusive on-set footage and interviews with cast and crew. Episodes will cover upcoming Disney Plus shows such asLoki, TheFalcon and the Winter Soldier,andHawkeye, as well as Marvel’s next feature film,Black Widow.
New episodes ofASSEMBLEDwill premiere on Disney Plus shortly after the theatrical and/or streaming release dates for these productions. The first episode will focus on the current,critically acclaimed seriesWandaVision. According to Marvel, the episode will feature series leads Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, and detail how the production’s unique style and concept took form, showing the challenges faced by the cast and crew as they recreate popular sitcoms across different eras.

There was also the anthology documentary seriesMarvel 616,which explored unique intersections found within Marvel’s rich history, such as the relationship between comics and toys, cosplay culture, and the ‘Marvel Method’ of creating a comic book. More recently, there wasthe one-hour documentary specialBehind the Mask, which explored superhero identities and the power they have.
The first episode ofASSEMBLEDwill be available to stream on Disney Plus on the first Friday following the conclusion ofWandaVisionand one week before the premiere ofThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Perhaps the debut of the docuseries will be able to quench Marvel fans' thirst for content in between the airing of both Marvel shows.
