More information aboutLycoris Recoil, the upcoming original anime from A-1 Pictures has been released. An official trailer,release date, main cast, staff, and key visual, among other announcements, were made through a Japanese press release as well as the official website for the anime.

Lycoris Recoilis an original anime about a quirky cafe that does everything from serving typical cafe drinks togetting rid of zombies, and everything in between.

Some of the voice actors and their characters include Chika Anzai as Chisato Nishikigi, Shion Wakayama as Takina Inoue, Ami Koshimizu as Mizuki Nakahara, Misaki Kuno as Kurumi, and Kosuke Sakaki as Mika. Little is known about the characters as this is an original anime, and not an adaptation with a source to reference.

The official website for the series released a new key visual, along with the ending theme, and more staff members. The key visual includes the logo in front of the main characters, with a tear in the middle. Above the tear the characters and scenery seem bright, however, below the tear the scenery is dark, and features spider lilies, part of the lycoris family of plants and known tosymbolize the path to the afterlifein Japanese folklore, as well as the lower half of the main characters, some of which are holding pistols.

Along with the key visual, more staff has been officially announced. This includes Yūsuke Maruyama as Assistant Director, who has been an Episode Director for anime such asAce Attorney, Yona of the Dawn,andFate/stay night: Ultimate Blade Works. Other staff announced includes the Main Animator, Kenji Sawada, as well as Sayuri singing the ending theme “Hana no Tō"as seen in the trailer below. This is reportedly Shingo Adachi’s directorial debut, after being chief animation director for many anime includingSword Art Onlineand others.

Below is the trailer, featuring the ending theme and teasing both slice-of-life and action elements of the upcoming show, as well as the main characters and a July 2nd release date. The trailer also features all of the Japanese television channels the anime will premiere on.

Lycoris Recoilis set to premiere July 2 at 11:30 p.m. (10:30 a.m. EDT).
