The long wait forKingdom Hearts 3is almost over, and that means little bits and pieces of information are coming out at a rather steady pace. That includes just how much space players will need on their Xbox Ones in order to download the digital copy. The listing on the Microsoft store page recently updated to show the download size to be approximately 35.8GB.

The download size isn’t as massive as other games in this generation, but it also isn’t exactly a tiny file. In fact, it appears the download size forKingdom Hearts 3on Xbox One appears to be in line with what we’ve seen from other recent releases in the series. TheKingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologuehad a file size of 29.63 on the PS4 and theKingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 HD Remixhad a much larger load of 45.24GB.

There is a touch of good news for those who are worried about that size of the file. The same listing also confirmed the game is going to be enhanced for the Xbox One X, which means it will have 4K and HDR output. That’s just the latest piece of good news for games looking to get the title on the Microsoft platform. If players really want to go all-in on the format, they can also get themselves a specialKingdom Hearts 3themed controller.

The listing is also good news in that it is further confirmation the game really is coming early next year. Considering the amount of time fans had waited for solid information and evenmore trailers, it likely won’t be that hard to wait another month to get the game. There is also the fact thatKingdom Heart 3is almost certainly not having its release date pushed back again.

Square Enix announced a little less than a month ago the game has officiallygone gold. It would take something truly disastrous to force people to wait any further for the game at this point. Now the only focus gamers need to do is make sure they have the right amount of space cleared on their systems.

Kingdom Hearts 3is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2o19.
