Jake Johnson joins Marvel Cinematic Universe Star Tatiana Maslany in Apple TV+’s upcoming dark comedy seriesMaximum Pleasure Guaranteed. Johnson is known for playing Nick Miller in the Zooey Deschanel comedy seriesNew Girland for voicing Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man in Sony’s animatedSpider-Versemovies.
Maslany, who played the titular character in the MCU showShe-Hulk: Attorney at Law, was previously cast in Apple TV+’s 10-episode dark comedy this past February. It was revealed that she is playing a recently divorced mother who"falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer."
Apple TV+has now officially announced that Johnson is starring inMaximum Pleasure Guaranteed. As perDeadline,Johnson is playing Karl, the ex-husband of Maslany’s character, Paula. David J. Rosen, who has previously worked on Prime Video’sHuntersand Apple TV+‘sInvasion, is the showrunner and creator, whileHalloweenandThe Righteous Gemstones’ David Gordon Green will direct and executive produce.
