Madden NFL 26has made some major changes to its 99 Club, leaving out a couple of previous members out of this year’s entry. InMadden, every player’s abilities are represented numerically in six stats that run, theoretically, from one to 100 - although you’ll scarcely see any one rating under 40 or over 99. These abilities are combined into an overall rating, or OVR, that represents the athlete’s overall prowess.
Members of the so-called 99 Clubarethose players who have an OVR of 99. It’s a small, exclusive club, and an honor in its own right, reserved only for the best and brightest in the NFL today. But this year’s 99 Club is looking a little bit different from last year’s.

Madden 26’s 99 Club Is All New
Somewhat unusually, none ofMadden 25’s 99 Club members have made it intoMadden 26’s. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Christian McCaffrey, Trent Williams, and Tyreek Hill are all missing from the list of players with 99 OVRs.
Of course, all of the above players are still present and playable in the game -it’s just that their ratings have fallen a bit in the past year. Williams has gone down to a 97, Mahomes and Hill to 95, McCaffrey to 94, and Kelce to 93.
It’s really no surprise to see Saquon near the top of the OVR rankings.
It’s not too unusual for there to be a little bit of a shakeupin the 99 Club year over year; after the season he’s had, it’s really no surprise to see Saquon near the top of the OVR rankings. That said, there’s usually at least a little overlap. Most players don’t fall so far down the rankings in a single year, soMadden 26is a bit of an outlier.
One Obvious Error In Madden NFL 25 Was Added In 26
Lamar Jackson Takes His Rightful Place
That said,Madden 26’s 99 Club does make one important correction:it elevates Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson to a 99 OVR, making him one of this year’s seven 99 Club members.
A Heisman winner, two-time NFL MVP, and all-time leader in QB rushing yards, Jackson is an excellent player whose talents weren’t properly recognized in hisMadden 25ranking. Maybe it’sMadden 26’s new quarterback features, or just a delayed response, but this year, he takes his rightful place in the 99 Club.
So, while this year’s 99 Club may be a bit surprising to fans of last year’s inductees, it’s not the worst thing in the world. If anything, it’s nice to seeMaddenacknowledging some new talenton the field.Madden NFL 26’s 99 Club might be missing a few players, but all of its new members are very much deserving of the honor.
