Options like digital tokens or STL files for 3D-printing miniatures can assist with play.
Physical fulfillment of Kickstarter rewards is currently set to start in September, so there’s still a bit of time to go on that front. After Kickstarter rewards have been fulfilled, the physical books will also be available at retail, which is planned to happen before the holidays.Cosmere RPGbooks set in the world ofMistborn, meanwhile, won’t be coming until 2026.
Why Stormlight Archive Fans Will Want To Check It Out
Brandon Sanderson Is Directly Involved
Even if you’re not a tabletop RPG player, theCosmere RPGis worth a look for anyone who lovesThe Stormlight Archive. Perhaps most enticingly, theStonewalkersadventure is co-written by Sanderson himself, so it could be a great way to keep yourself entertained until the second arc of the book series arrives. Sanderson’s magic systems are also the perfect candidate forexciting tabletop play, as they naturally set up interesting and creative opportunities that go far beyond casting a fireball spell.
LikeDungeons & Dragons, theCosmere RPGuses the random chance of a D20 die as the foundation of many mechanics, but it has some unique twists of its own. I’m particularlyexcited about the plot die, an additional D6 that can shake things up by introducing positive and negative side effects. Whether you want to grab the digital offerings or wait until physical books are available, theCosmereRPGis certainly worth keeping an eye on.
