Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Predator: Killer of Killers!
Predator: Badlandsis the second of the twoPredatormovies releasing in 2025, and I’m now convinced that it will have a major connection toPredator: Killer of Killersthanks to that shocking ending reveal.Predator: Killer of Killersseemed to be a stand-alone anthology film, with it exploring the stories of Predators who fought against Vikings, Samurai, and World War II pilots. However, the final segment ofPredator: Killer of Killersrevealed that the Hulu film is so much more than that, setting up some major story reveals forPredator: Badlands.
Predator: Killer of Killersfourth segmentsees the protagonists of each of the three previous segments get thrown together, with them finding themselves on the Yautja planet. There, the trio is forced to fight each other to the death in a gladiatorial arena, with the winner then having to fight the Predator Warlord. However, the trio instead devises a plan to get to the Warlord’s ship and make their escape back to Earth. Unfortunately, the Viking Ursa sacrifices herself to save them, with her being captured by the Predators. She is placed into suspended animation, with the Predators then taking her to a shocking location.
At the very end ofPredator: Killer of Killers, the Yautja can be seen taking Ursa’s animation chamber into a room full of similar devices. Each device contains a different creature from across the galaxy who has killed a Predator, revealing that the Yautja keep the prey who triumph over the Predators in an archive of champions. The film then shows that one of these chambers contains Naru, the protagonist ofPreywho successfully killed a Predator in the 1700s. The film then cuts to the credits, but it is doubtful that this will be the last we see of the archive of champions.
It has been revealed thatPredator: Badlandswill follow a Yautja protagonist named Dek, with it being set on an unknown planet. While very few details have been revealed about this planet, it is entirely possible that the planet could contain the archive of champions fromPredator: Killer of Killers. The synopsis for the film reveals that Dek is attempting to hunt the “ultimate adversary,” and this adversary could be one of the champions who previously killed a Predator. Dek could also seek help from one of the champions, as he has alreadyenlisted the help of a Weyland-Yutani android.
This Predator: Badlands Reveal Would Perfectly Tie Together Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator Trilogy
Connecting Prey, Predator: Badlands, & Predator: Killer Of Killers
Although eachPredatormovie is only loosely connected through its characters, the fact that Dan Trachtenberg is the director of this entire trilogy suggests that the story may come together inPredator: Badlands. If Dek does find the archive of champions, then each of Trachtenberg’s films connects to tell one large story.PreyandPredator: Killer of Killersare already connected thanks to Naru’s cameo in the animated film, andNaru or some original Predator killers could return inPredator: Badlands.
This would also explain why twoPredatormovies are releasing in 2025.Predator: Badlandscomes out in November, and it would be weird for the film to completely ignore thePredator: Killer of Killersreveal from just a few months before. Thus, it only makes sense for the archive of champions to return.
Predator: Killer Of Killers' Ending Could Make Predator: Badlands The Ultimate Predator Crossover Movie
Any Predator Protagonist Could Return
WhileNaru has already returned, she is far from the only character who could appear inPredator: Badlands. Essentially any character who has killed a Predator could be in the archive of champions, meaning that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch, Danny Glover’s Mike Harrigan, Adrien Brody’s Royce, and more could be back. If these characters appear inPredator: Badlands, then it would make the upcoming film the ultimatePredatorcrossover, and it is all thanks toPredator: Killer of Killers.
